This high-speed folding carton gluer is suitable for the production of straight-line cartons and capable of producing crash-lock bottom folding cartons with the addition of an upgraded Leary high pressure unit (GRU) to the present gluing system.
Machine fitted with:
Leary LS-9 Controller with overhead four Leary Jet 100 glue valve application system.
Deca glue line detection for lower glue pot, sharing a fully automatic carton ejector.
Deca binary code scanner, sharing a fully automatic carton ejector.
A) Feeder Assembly
7 belt feeder with vibrator motor and easy adjust facility. 5 belts with vacuum assist.
2 each left & right side blank side-walls angled for use with an optional pre-feeder.
2 feeder gates.
4 rear blank supports with fully adjustable arms.
Control panel comprising: feeder on/off, inch/run, emergency stop switches.
Variable speed controller for blanks leaving the feeder.
B) Pre-fold and Lock Bottom Section
3 motorized carriers with digital read out meters.
All top carriers, removable.
3 position quick-release carrier lifters throughout the section for easy removal of waste, and adjusting pressure to eliminate marking. All top carriers, removable.
Glue flap pre-fold also third crease pre-fold station.
Assistance in pre-fold by means of adjustable cane system.
2 Support Bars.
Emergency stop switch.
NO milling attachment in pre-fold section.
C) Crashlock Section (Machine)
3 motorized carriers with digital read out meters.
All top carriers, removable for improved folding facility for integral panels.
Fully variable positioning of adjustable folding hook attachments (5 with crashlock version).
Location for fitting Leary glue system with 2 bottom support bars.
D) Glue Tank
Operator side seam glue-tank fitted with 3mm wide glue wheel as standard.
Quick-release facility, for cleaning and when not in use.
Pressure roller adjustment by means of xcraper mechanism.
Transparent glue bottle for easy monitoring of glue level.
E) Folding Unit
3 Motorized carriers with digital read out meter.
Facility for outside carrier (drive side) to be moved to centre for small catron production.
Variable-speed control for the top belts on two outside carriers.
Final Fold Section (Operators side) removable for assisting folds on difficult cartons.
Examples such as Pillow Pack Cartons, Perfume Cartons with Integral Fittings, etc.
Limit switch for machine stop.
F) Trombone
Two motorized carriers with digital read out.
Fully adjustable self tensioning belts.
Screw adjustment of top and bottom carriers.
Control box for counter and pneumatic kicker station.
Main control panel with: ready/not ready, run/inch, feed on/off, speed, re-set, and emergency stop switches. Line speed meter and manual/auto control for compression belt operation.
G) Compression Unit
Free standing wheel mounted unit with lifting jacks on 4 corners.
Pressure applied by means of 8 pneumatic jacks, and controlled by valve and pressure gauge operation.
Separate pressure control of the front roller.
Automatic bottom belt tracking device.
Top belt assembly fully movable to front and rear by means of rack and pinion system.
Delivery into full width top and bottom compression belts.
Limit switch for machine stop.
Overhead mirror with multi adjust angle brackets.
80cm long open delivery area onto 42cm long steel packing plate.
H) Remote Operator Control.
Overhead Rail running from Feeder Section to the Trombone Unit with Pendant Type Multi-Control Box fitted with: Inch/Run, Feed On/Off, and Stop Switches.
